Curator’s Choice


This unique Nativity scene, a gift from Pope John Paul II, is part of the museum collection. Carved from mother of pearl, it depicts not only Jesus' birth, but also the Annunciation, Last Supper and Resurrection.


Current Exhibitions


The museum’s 11th annual Christmas exhibition will feature 76 Nativity scenes from the central European nations of Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. Additionally, the museum’s own collection of crèches from around the world will be on display, including its recent acquisition, a modern Neapolitan diorama.
