Knights of Columbus Supreme Council Office

 

These files document the various buildings in New Haven, Conn., where the Knights of Columbus has maintained its headquarters since its founding in 1882.

Examples include this program from the dedication of the 1906 Supreme Office Building, the first building specifically built for the Order, and this booklet which describes the 1953 Supreme Office building, formerly the headquarters of the New Haven Railroad.

This building often referred to as the “Yellow Building” was purchased from the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.

This building also accommodated printing and mailing equipment for the Order's publication, Columbia.

Designed by architect Lyman Faxon, this was the first building specifically constructed for the Order's home office.
