Knights of Columbus Museum: Past Exhibits

Crosses & Crucifixes

January 25, 2006 – April 6, 2008
Robert and Yvonne Klancko

The 167 crosses and crucifixes in the exhibit were collected from around the world by the donors, Robert and Yvonne Klancko and were used in churches or by individuals. The oldest, from the Balkans, was fashioned almost 800 years ago. With the cross as the universal symbol of Christianity, the exhibit epitomized the very essence of Christianity – that God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for the redemption and salvation of all.
