    About

    Established in 1982, the Knights of Columbus Museum, Inc. is a nonprofit institution serving the general public through exhibitions of history, art, and faith. It serves as an archive for the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council and maintains a permanent gallery showcasing the organization's history, as well as one dedicated to Knights of Columbus founder, Venerable Michael McGivney (1852-1890).

    The Knights of Columbus Museum is located at 1 State Street in New Haven, Connecticut, conveniently off the downtown exit from either I-91 or I-95. It is three blocks from Union Station (Amtrak, Hartford Line, Metro-North Railroad, Shoreline East Railroad and Greyhound). Free parking is available in the lot beneath the museum. Enter the garage from the left lane at the far end of the building as you approach the intersection with Martin Luther King Blvd.

    Museum Policies

    For the well-being of our visitors and items on display, the following policies currently apply at the Knights of Columbus Museum:

    • Proper attire is required at all times, including shirts and shoes
    • All bags are subject to inspection
    • No firearms or weapons are permitted
    • No luggage or suitcases are permitted
    • No loitering or disruptive behavior is allowed in the museum or on its grounds
    • Photography is permitted in permanent galleries only
    • No food or beverages are permitted in the galleries
    • Service animals only
    • No smoking is permitted
    • Children 12 years and younger must be under adult supervision
